Love Travel Planning is free to read, and we want it to stay that way. To help cover the costs of running the site, travelling and researching our guides, some of the links on our site are affiliate links.
This page explains what that means, who we work with, and how we make sure it never affects the advice we give you.

In short
An affiliate link is a tracked link to another company’s website. If you click one and then book or buy something, that company pays us a small commission.
It doesn’t cost you anything extra. The price you pay is exactly the same as if you had gone to the website directly. Occasionally, partners offer our readers an exclusive discount, and we’ll always say so when they do.
We partner with a small number of travel brands we use ourselves when planning our own trips. These currently include:
GetYourGuide, for tours, tickets and activities. All GetYourGuide links and booking widgets on our site are affiliate links. This includes the embedded activity boxes and “book now” panels you’ll see in many of our guides, as well as text links.
Booking.com, for hotels, apartments and other places to stay
AllTrails, for walking and hiking routes
We may add new partners over time. We only work with brands whose products or services we’d happily recommend to friends and family, whether or not we earned anything from them.
We want it to be obvious when a post contains commercial content, so:
Every GetYourGuide link and widget is an affiliate link, without exception. If you see GetYourGuide anywhere on our site, we may earn a commission if you book through it.
If you’re ever unsure whether something is an ad, please ask us. We’re always happy to explain.
From time to time, hotels, tour operators and tourism boards offer us a free or discounted stay or experience so that we can write about it. When this happens:
If a stay or experience isn’t right for the families and groups who read our guides, we simply won’t recommend it.
Commissions never decide what we write about or what we recommend. Every guide on Love Travel Planning is based on our own travel experience and research.
We recommend things because they’re genuinely useful for planning your trip, not because of what they might earn us. If a cheaper, simpler or non-affiliate option is the better choice for you, that’s the one we’ll point you towards.
If you have a question about any of our partnerships or a specific recommendation, get in touch. You can also read our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy to see how affiliate tracking cookies are used on this site.
Thank you for supporting Love Travel Planning. Every booking made through our links helps us keep creating free, honest planning guides.
