Pale blue sky with white fluffy clouds across the top of photo, tree evergreens on the horizon, still blue lake in the bottom half with the sky mirrored in the water. To the left is a girl sitting in a canoe holding a wooden oar to the right hand side - you can see drops of water falling off the oar. Girl is wearing red bucket hat and red safety vest

Plan your travels in Canada

Canada is enormous – it has the World’s longest coastline, and it takes 5-6 days to cross coast-to-coast on the train.  With 10 Provinces and 3 Territories, Canada borders the USA in the south, touches the Arctic in the north, and stretches between the Atlantic Ocean in the east and the Pacific Ocean in the West.  Impossible to cover in one trip!

So, trip planning in Canada can be fun – rocky coastal islands with lighthouses and lobsters in the east, hypnotic expanses of prairie grasslands areas towards the middle, majestic Rocky Mountains and turquoise glacial lakes, or temperate rainforest with surfing beaches and bear spotting in the west. Not forgetting to mention cool cities, canoeing in National Parks, indigenous experiences, and whale watching.  You will not be disappointed with Canada, it lives up to the dream.

Choosing your Canada trip:

Badlands & Priaries

Take a path less well trodden in Canada to explore the Alberta Badlands and grassland prairies of Saskatchewan.  Whilst most people arriving in Calgary will head west to the Rocky Mountains, this road trip heads east away from the crowds.

Find your inner cowboy at a rodeo and ranch stay, stay off grid in the stunning Grasslands National Park, discover why Moose Jaw is Canada’s most notorious city, learn how to become a Canadian Mountie, and walk in the footsteps of giants in Drumheller on a trip to remember.

British Columbia

Take a road trip with a difference in the Pacific Northwest, arriving in British Columbia at Vancouver Island on the ferry from the San Juan Islands in America, USA, after starting your journey in Seattle.

Once in Canada, explore the beauty of Vancouver Island and fall in love with the surf town gem that is Tofino, before heading over to the mainland and driving the Sea-to-Sky Highway to Whistler in the mountains.  After walking, cycling and white water rafting, head to metro Vancouver before ending back in Seattle.
